I've been an Explorer guy for going on 25 years, but we don't really need a 3 row vehicle any longer. I've been looking at a V6 Ranger Lariat - not interested in a big F150. Thoughts from the Ford folks on the Ranger?

They're great vehicles. I think they ride and handle very well.

I like the size of maneuverability, but even these days, a 5 1/2 foot bed is at capacity, but I use my truck for work.

If you don't need the bedspace, a ranger will do just fine.

It's a rocket with the 2.7 L V6.

Just watch the pricing. A well equipped range gets into F150 territory very quickly.

28k on a `24 Ranger Lariat FX4, 2.3L motor. No problems, no complaints other than overly techy, way too many "click to return, click again, etc..". And occasionally the climate control seems to have a mind of its own, for responding to temp settings.

Ride is good, firm (it is a 4wd), 5ft bed, but handles plenty of weight.
Have never driven the 2.7L, the 2.3 has great power (IMO).
