I'm wanting to upgrade the sound system in my wife's Bronco. The factory speakers are terrible. Little to no bass and you really have to crank it loud to hear (even though the road sound inside the cab is louder than a typical vehicle).

Anyone here have recs on a sound system setup? Would love to have a professional install it. I'm located in DFW.

I'd search on the bronco6g forum, some of those guys have gone all out and already discovered what they consider the best setup.

If you have the B&O, here's a good write up.

Also, these guys have speaker upgrade packages (simple to wild upgrades)with all the adapters, etc already configured. They also have a 4th of July sale.

Tempted to do the Alpine speaker upgrade.

I bought a plug n play kit brand for my base audio in my 23 bronco but never installed it. My 2025 has B&O.

I took my Bronco to MTI in College Station and they took great care of me. They have in dash conversion kits and tailgate sub boxes that preserve the factory look but significantly improve sound quality. I went a little nuts and had them replace everything and it only took them a day to do it all. Highly recommend.

How much did it cost out the door?

MTI is good but not cheap.

I went a little nuts with the upgrade and it was about $7k. That included installation and a custom tune. But, they have a lot of tiers available and will work with you to customize. Their pricing was better than anything I was getting locally and I know the quality of installation was better. The tuner they have is top notch and may ne worth using even if you install yourself. His name is Jeffery Hald and can do a remote tune if you don't want to go to college station (Total Tuning is the company).

A lot of people use this guy:

https://plugnplaykits.com/

If you call him, he will help pick a kit. A lot of people use a 4 channel amp from Kicker with DSP because it is easy to setup and makes a significant difference. Like all things audio, it's very subjective. I would personally go with at least a six channel amp so that I could separate the kick panels and dash speakers. Also, second bronco6g for research. A ton on there.

He's very knowledgeable and will take time to educate you.

I will be curious to hear what you land on OP.

I have a 2024 without the B/O and have been looking at the kicker upgrade.

Just started kind of looking online. We don't have the B/O in our Bronco either. And the sound is absolutely terrible. I also thought about buying a sound bar for the back. But also found a subwoofer you can install in the rear tailgate. Thinking about doing one of those and replacing all of the speakers.

They offer equipment for Expis up to '21 online but nothing after.

Still worth a call to them to upfield a '24 Expi w/o B&O?

Expeditions can fit 4 15s in the back. Easy.
