Looking to pull the trigger on a new Lexus TX in the DFW area on Thursday. Before going in would like an independent auto finance quote before looking at the dealer option. Planning to put 20k down to get total walkout around 50k. Looked at Wells Fargo, my bank, on a major purchase loan (no auto option on the app) and it was stupid high. Credit rating is around 860 currently according to FICO score. Any recommendations on where to look?

Go credit union. PenFed.org is my go to.

I've used Credit Union of Texas many times.

NCU!! Live in S TX now, but stay with them b/c great service and generally rates. Just approved for 5% on 2015 LX 570…deal fell through but good for 90 days.

Yup!

I've got a note at 2% with them. "Refinancing" a new purchase with them currently.

I've used neighborhood credit union 3 times. The only thing annoying with them is they have procedures in place where it's difficult to pay off your note. You basically get limited to max amount per day or you need to go to the bank in person to pay it off. I would end up just paying $2,500 per day the month I wanted to pay my car or motorcycle off

They have the lowest rates though

Have gone with PenFed CU since 2005 with no complaints, but NavyFed CU had better rates for a pre-owned last month, so I went with them. Pretty smooth process, and they have a few brick & mortar branches around DFW.

Looks like they are currently doing as low as 4.09% for <36mos on New.
