House and auto is up in April, so far haven't found anything cheaper for my home and auto the only thing I've found is the online company, Elephant, which is about $300 cheaper annually.

Current auto is through Mercury via Liere insurance.

$1909/yr for full (good) coverage on 2020 Expy

Anybody got a rec on where to shop it?

I've used Insurance.com & Costco to compare insurance quotes as well as reaching out to multiple agents for quotes. I usually rotate between a couple agents we know every few years.

Shop the usual suspects and go with the cheapest that has same coverage. It's frustrating

State Farm was the cheapest I found and I looked everywhere and used brokers

$1909 sounds like a steal LOL.

I recently used a poster on here (Daddy) at Farmers and liked what I got. Switching in March.

Home was really good, autos were comparable to what I had but still a little lower.

2 years ago it was $1500, $1700 last year and now $1909 so figured I would be dumb to just pay and not shop since we've had zero claims or tickets

That's what we just found. Had Germania for both home & auto. They increased our home insurance by $5000 and auto went up as well (addition of a new vehicle). Got a quote from State Farm and it was half what Germania wanted.

I just switched to Farm Bureau, and saved significantly from USAA.

I've been with Progressive for a few years now. I shopped them for my renewal this month and got similar quotes from State Farm and Farm Bureau. I think Farm Bureau was 2.5% cheaper for the year, but I'm not going through the hassle of switching for 2.5%.

None of the above will let me add my F350 to my personal policy since I ordered it without a bed (installed flatbed). All say it's a commercial vehicle due to the vin. Lesson: never order a cab & chassis, even if you're going to add a flatbed.

I saved closer to 30% with Farm Bureau.

I try this for every one of these threads I can.

IF you have a good driving record and habits, you can get this select risk insurance:

Ag. Workers Mutual out of Ft, Worth. They will beat pretty much any price. They do home insurance also.

I've been with them since 1987. I don't get sales calls for insurance any more.

As soon as I tell them I'm with Ag Workers, they just hang up - don't even try to make a deal.

I pay over $9000 for three cars because of my 16 year old son. It is a joke.

You guys in TX are getting screwed by the under/non-insured motorist with paper tags.

I have 4 cars with 2 under 25 male drivers (one with a ticket) + me + wife and it's $4k/yr

These rates are outrageous.

We have a 2019 expedition as our only personal vehicle and pay $1318 a year through Progressive.

Same, but depending on where you live, they may not be writing new homeowner policies ATM.

Nearly identical for me (4 / 3 / W, and price). Feels like a damn racket.

Who is that through and what coverage?

Makes me feel double robbed paying $9000 for 3 cars and 1 kid, but Liere swears I have the best price available through progressive. All clean records with 250k/500k coverage and $1000 deductible. In Dallas so I guess that impacts it as well.

Switched from USAA to TxFB and have been happy with their service but we've had no claims. I shop it every six months and no one can beat it.

There is no loyalty anymore. Shop every year. There really is no other choice.

I got a couple quotes 2 years ago, after 34 years with USAA without shopping, but no one beat USAA. I am going to shop Farm Bureau based on replies above.

USAA's rates are based on what level of USAA you are on. We were a lower level, erego the cheaper rate for farm bureau.

Although I've been with them since I was 16 - 36 years! - I backdoored in since my mom worked for USAA at the time. Have to military service history so I believe I am also on the lower level.

Best way to initiate a Farm Bureau quote is....?? Should I start herehttps://www.fbfs.com/request-a-quote
