I just got an F150 with leather seats, and I have a small 50lb golden retriever that I like to ride around with. She only rides in the back seat.

Does anyone have a recommendation on something to protect the back seat? I don't want her nails messing up the leather. I'd like something that is easy to take on/off for hair/cleaning purposes.

I googled it and there is a lot out there so looking for a point in the right direction is anyone has one.

Thanks.

I bought this Lusso back car seat made for dogs, but I use it for my 3 kids and car seat. I have a GMC and it appears to be good quality and I am happy with it.

Good luck!

I've had this one from Duluth for about 6 years now with no sign of deterioration. Only a 40lb Aussie on it. Keeps them from falling down on the floorboard too.

I've had the luxury of hauling my dog (or dogs - had 2 labs back there for 5 years) everywhere with me for 20 years and I've tried every kind of backseat cover known to man. My 2 cents:

No matter what you get, make it one of the hammock style covers. Add a degree of safety for both you and the dog, if you have to slam on the brakes, the dog doesn't get thrown into the floorboard, and if you do crash, it offers some level of protection from the dog getting thrown into the front seat with the passengers. They also do a much better job of containing all the dog hair, dirt, mud, etc.

The best solution I've ever found are the newer style that have a hard bottom all the way to the back of the front seat. Something like this, not the one I have but this style. It's really made my dogs feel more comfortable having a solid surface under their feet and gives them a little more usable space. It increases your back seat carrying capacity - give you a huge flat space for carrying groceries, luggage fishing poles, etc., and you can still use the floorboards for storage if needed. They also make it easy to uncover half of the backseat to put a passenger back there if needed. They also have flaps that cover the doors to catch the drool and protect door finish arm rests etc.

I have this one. Was the same price direct as on Amazon, so I bought direct. I'm not a huge Amazon fan.

My dog is twice the size of yours, and it works well. For this, I flip the back seats up, so the dog is on the floor. If he sat on a seat, his head would be hitting the ceiling.

We've had the same Orvis covers for years. They are fantastic and look nice.

I got this one and have been really happy with it. Solid quality and easy to put in and remove.

I like the 4knines one as well, the generic amazon one I had before didn't fit the rear seat of my F150 properly.

Unless you have a KR or platinum or limited, 80% of the back seat of your F150 is Vinyl.
