Congrats on the truck

Back during the California Covid lockdowns, I did a bunch of paver work at my house so I'm obsessed with pavers now. Those are some very nice looking pavers.

Gracias. They were part of the standard build. Unfortunately, it's gonna have to get ripped up eventually. Black clay soil of north Texas.

Must have been a better deal to buy out of state? Give us the dealer if you would recommend!

Would not recommend but got it at the right price.

I did a 500mile search of what I was looking for on Autotrader. 7.3 gasser. Lariat. Not white. Ultimate/tow package.

Surprisingly the 3 best deals were 15 miles from me and then 2x in Missouri at different dealers. All were 10+% off sticker.

Dealing with all 3 was difficult but price is price. None of them will be servicing it anyways.

dealership up in pilot point (near me) has a lariat with all the packages (lariat ultimate, etc) in the dark gray with black appearance (wheels and painted bumper)

They had it listed at like 67.5. Almost pulled the trigger on it but the black tremor kept drawing me back.

Great looking truck! If I could do it I would get the Tremor also.

That's a steep roof. I'm guessing DFW area or further north. Houston and San Antonio/Austin doesn't have as many of those crazy steep roofs. Good news is hail will typically glance off of it easier.

Have you checked if it fits in the garage yet?

When we built, I had them stretch the garage 2 more feet out. And I also had them do an 18'wide x 8' tall garage door. That sucker is yuge.

One day I may need to borrow to see if I can get it in my garage. Single width door and I'm nervous about the height honestly. I believe I'll have to get the garage door chain track raised as well.

Height is going to be your issue. This sits just under 7' with the 35s. I could easily fit 37"s on this sucker.

On my 8' door I've got probably 9" of actual clearance.

I believe it. I was in Prosper a few weeks ago, those slopes that didn't face the sun held onto that snow for a long time because those roofs were so steep. Kept it cool on the side away from the sun, Y'all had some big hail in 2018 and then some more hail in 2024. 2024 was generally smaller and more limited area,

2024 was the year of the windstorm for us. Memorial Day storm was nuts (I work in a personal property insurance line adjacent business).

We built in 21 and I've luckily not had to replace the roof yet. Damn deductibles are all 2% now

We still have 1% with State Farm lol

Yea, when the time is right I will let you bring it over and see if we can get it in the garage.

Oh I could've kept 1% but it was going to be 8k premium. Gross.

Unrelated but just ordered Tuxemats for it after seeing all the good reviews and recommendations.

We have weather tech in other vehicles and I'm not that impressed.

now it's time to think about accessories.

It's getting tint on saturday and I'm deleting the chrome trim on the running board.

Thinking of powder coating the wheels to a matte gunmetal like color.

Tonneau cover already on...

Already looking at the aftermarket larger gas tank (crazy these things only have a 34g tank)

aTm truck nuts next?

How are the 4.30 gears with the 7.3? I'm sure it has tons of torque but sucks the gas down.

A definitely feel the lower range torque which is good for its "off-roading" mantra. I'm thinking of taking it around the Alpine loop this summer.

Since it has the 10 speed and 35" tires (main reason for the gearing, I believe), it gets decent MPG once up to speed. I was clocking 15+ cruising at 65mph

Around 2k rpm's.

Most people on the tremor forums say they're getting 13-14mpg average. I've only put ~100 miles on it this far so it'll need some breaking in.

Doing that math is why I'm looking at a bigger tank. My f150 had a 36g tank…could get 600 miles on a tank. I'll be lucky to get 425 out of this one.

Towing distance is also of concern. I'll likely get 8mpg towing. 250 miles between fill ups isn't going to be great. A 58g tank would get me to 400+ miles between fill ups. And 800 miles non towing.
