New issue that came up a week or two ago. It's not every trip but I'd say 20% of the time while driving, the doors will just randomly start unlocking themselves. Looking online and it sounds like it could be a couple of things but curious if anyone else has had this issue come up.

How old is your battery? That's where I'd start.

Check if the connections are tightened at the post. Affimative? Have the battery tested.

Always I first check the least costly fix. Good luck.

Much appreciated. Checked this last night - has some minor corrosion built-up on the positive connection so I cleaned it all off really well and hoped for improvement. Ride to work this morning and it started up again. Guess I will take it in at some point to have it looked at in more detail.

i randomly had this on a rental Titan, figured out it was the strike plate that the car door lock latch attaches to had become loose and wind and high speed was causing it to unlock.

worth a shot.

My 2018 Silverado would randomly lock itself. Once while it was running and me outside the truck. Thanks Onstar.

Solved it by putting a new battery in the key fob.

Story continues - cleaned battery connections and replaced batter in the key fob. Woke up to a dead battery on Thanksgiving and replaced it. After that, figured that maybe that was the source of all issues but locks are engaging randomly again today while driving. Guess the dealership is our next stop.

I had a similar issue on my 2015 Silverado and eventually found it to be the key remote. It was old and the truck would just unlock on its own without even touching the remote. Started using my wife's key fob and the issue went away.

Possibility on both - I need to find our back-up key fob and maybe start using it. Truck went to the dealership on Monday and received a call yesterday that they cannot get the locks to replicate the issue. Going to leave it with them through the rest of the week in hopes that it eventually does.

Someone else mentioned the door lock actuator maybe being to blame but looks like that's a pretty labor-intensive issue and there's one in each door.
