New suburbans are coming out later this year and I'm wondering if new changes are worth waiting. Anyone familiar enough to opine? Looks like the major differences are infotainment screen, headlights, new diesel engine and updated suspensions. I drive about 25k per year with couple trips to CO each year, live on a dirt road and already have a diesel truck, so I'm thinking the Z71 with diesel engine.

I currently have a Yukon XL and a Ford f250 so not brand loyal, and I've briefly considered the Expedition but just like the suburban more (had great luck with a prior suburban).

Thoughts?

Wait for the 25 models to get the LZ0 motor.

That's our plan anyway.

If I recall correctly, you cannot get the diesel engine option in a z71 trim level (or in the AT4 trim level Yukon)

That is supposed to be changed now, but I don't know if it changed for '24, or if it is changing on the '25 with the upgraded engine. My bet it is becoming available on the '25s.

Are they as easy to steal as the trucks? I know multiple people who have had their late model GM truck hacked and stolen. That alone would keep me away.

I read diesel is going to be available on '25 Z71s. As for theft, I haven't heard about suburban thefts like truck thefts but could be happening.
