I have a meeting this week in Seabrook. What area is safest to stay in a hotel and my vehicle actually be there the following morning? I'm a Hilton guy, prefer to be within 30 minutes of my meeting.

Never thought I'd ask this question but I've seen so many of yall talk about vehicle theft in Houston!

Probably the Hilton Nasa Clear Lake or anything along Nasa Road 1 should be ok to be honest, which puts you right in Seabrook.

Agree with the Hilton or the Hampton on Nasa, but Seabrook is pretty safe. Keep your distance from 45

OP, it is not a Hilton but I've stayed at south shore convention center several times and own a home less than a mile from there and have never had an issue with theft whatsoever.

It is about a 7 minute drive from there to Seabrook.

Add to that Villa Capri, Sam's Boat, and the old Hooters at Nasa1/146.

You could brave the bridge (haven't checked in a while if it is still a charlie foxtrot) and hit up T-Bone Tom's in Kemah.

If you don't mind pushing closer to 45 to eat, there's just about anything you can think of. Whiskey Cake is neat for a white people suburb chain restaurant.

Viola and Agnes is really good. Very slow, but very good.
Tookies Seafood is good.
Pier 6 is a drive and gets great reviews. I have only gone once and it was OK.
Merlion is great.

If it were me going, I would stay at the courtyard in Kemah. You can walk to the Lighthouse district and have a great meal and then bar hop the night away. You could also walk over to the boardwalk, where the fun never stops.

Just don't forget to go home. We are full down here.

Homie is worried about his **** getting got and you recommend the exact area (Baybrook) where my **** was got.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I made it to Waco before turning around to head to Cook Children's ER in Fort Worth. Daughter took a tumble at preschool today. Think she's ok but getting her checked out at the recommendation of paramedics.

Paramedics were called to the school for an unrelated medical event. That person was careflighted as my wife left the parking lot with our daughter. Wild morning at our church/preschool.

As far as safety in Houston, I'd say that the area around Hobby wouldn't be good to leave your car out overnight if you like having intact windows and your cat to be there in the morning. Been here all my life, most of it in the Heights area and other than a car getting stolen in Westchase/Energy Corridor and my cats jacked in Katy, haven't had issues.

A poster (that also lives in the Heights) did have his Silverado stolen from the El Tiempo (legit tine establishment if you like fajitas and margaritas) in Webster.
