Bought my 2016 Sienna vehicle used in 2019, and everything worked great until about 3 years ago.
My radio, HD antennae, or anything connected with them will not play through my factory stereo or speakers. Not even my ipod plugged in through the USB port or bluetooth. Hands free phone, nope. Nothing. The only thing that worked was the back up camera and the beeping it made if an object was moving behind me.
And then one very cold morning my radio and HD antennae worked. I jammed out like Tom Cruise in Jerry McGuire to some hits, but then I was blasted back to reality when my radio didn't work the next time I stated my engine...approximately 30 minutes after shopping at one store.
Now, my radio will not work unless, the outside temp drops below 40 degrees +/- 3 and my engine is completely cooled off. On those cold mornings in DFW, my radio, HD antennae, and factory stereo/speakers work fine. I have weather, traffic, and all the HD stations. On cold days after work, same thing, if the engine has cooled throughout the day, then my radio works for my ride home. Unless...I stop and turn the engine off for any period of time.
I have taken the entire radio assembly apart and checked every wire, and there are no frays, tears, loose, or missing wires. I know the issue is heat related, but I cannot pinpoint the spot where the heat is not allowing the radio to work.
Recently, as in October 2023, I have now lost my heated seats (they just stopped being able to be turned on) and they worked the entire time the radio didn't. I don't have my BSM (blind spot monitor) and that SUCKS, and I can't engage the VSC (vehicle stability control). I also get a message every time I start my van that says, "check VSC system" and "check tire pressure".
I've checked every single fuse in the cabin and engine. I've tried the factory reset for the lights on my dash, but nothing is working to alleviate my main issues of no radio (unless very cold weather and engine), no heated seats, and that pesky BSM/VSC warning lights issue.
Help?!?
