How long do you want to ignore this user?
I have a couple of small rock chips on my windshield I'd like to get filled.

None are in the main driver sight line, so if there is an easy DIY product, would like any recommendations.

Thanks!

I tried a DIY, made a chip into a crack that spread. Decided I'd pay the man next time. Probably didn't help that I used a harbor freight kit

I just assumed everyone's insurance covered windshield chips.

Mostly just lazy since its probably 30-45 mins to any town big enough with a rock chip repair service. Vehicle is 11 years old, so just hoping to put a band aid on the chips and prevent further cracking.

Bought one off of Amazon to use on the wife's van and it did a pretty good job. When the light hits it right, you can see it, but I was primarily concerned with it spreading.

Same here. I bought the Rain X repair kit for ~$11 off Amazon.
I figured why not give it a try? There also was plenty resin left over, so its not one-and-done.

Check with your insurance and see who they've contracted with in your area. Might be someone working out of their truck/garage.

My cousin does chips as a side hustle in his small town. He's contracted with most insurance companies, and will do 3-4 most evenings...Does them in the parking lot of Sonic, his kids baseball practice, in his driveway etc.

State Farm used to. Now it's a $50 deductible for an entirely new one.

Rain-X kit worked great for me in the past
