New Tahoe arrived from the factory last Wednesday. Actually, the dealership sent a driver to Arlington to drive it back. Sales lady told my wife it would be ready for us last Friday. On Friday, she told her it wouldn't be ready until Saturday.
When it wasn't ready on Saturday, I called to find out what was going on. She told me it was throwing fuel pressure codes and they needed to replace the fuel pump so it wouldn't be ready until Monday. When I asked her about them driving it from Arlington, she didn't have an answer. Now yesterday she calls and says it is still throwing codes and they are in contact with GM to figure out what is going on.
My questions: Do I even want this vehicle now? Is it common for new vehicles to leave the factory already in need of repair. If they do get it fixed, how likely is it to have more problems later? Is it going to be a lemon from now on?
I really don't know what to do at this point. Wife is fine with throwing this one back and ordering another.
