USAA insurance premium for full coverage is roughly double for the 350. Same year, engine, trim. 350 is DRW.

The flatbed installer told me they cannot install a flatbed on a '23 F350 unless it comes as a cab and chassis because the truck will not start if you remove the OEM taillights.

Probably because of all of the SHYSTER AMBULANCE CHASER PERSONAL INJURY LAWYERS TARGETING guys doing hot shot deliveries in 1 tons with personal insurance
Just last night I traded a '22 Chevy Trail Boss for a '24 High Country dually and my USAA insurance actually went down. Dont ask me why, but I am not complaining.v1rotate92 said:

A lot of times a commercial policy on something like this isn't that much more than a personal policy with Progressive. I quickly threw some fake info in and got a quote of $295/month for a 2023 Ford F350 flatbed. Maxed out coverage on a 50 year old. Obviously zip code, age, driving record and other things matter, but that's what I got.TxAg20 said:
I'm not a USAA customer, but I did recently learn something about F350 insurance with Progressive. I ordered an F350 cab and chassis as I am having a flatbed installed. Progressive will not insure the F350 on my personal policy and requires a commercial policy since it's a cab and chassis. I told my agent the truck will have a flatbed installed and will be for personal use. He said Progressive doesn't care. Since it started as a cab and chassis, it will only be insured as a commercial vehicle. If I had bought the same vehicle, but with a bed, and swapped the bed out for a flatbed, I could insure it as a personal vehicle.

Another installer told me the same thing. I'm guessing it will get worked out with Ford, but it seems to be a known issue.

Got it. Thanks!
It's not an issue on my F350, but what happens if you have one of the packages shown as "NOT SUPPORTED for Pickup Box Removal" in that bulletin?
