Looking at installing a 3" lift kit on our 2019 Toyota Sienna. Does anyone have any recommendations where to get this done in the B/CS area? Thanks!

Why stop at 3"? Why not give her the full 6"?

Unless the minivan is black. The Mrs can't go back after that.

This piques my interest. I'm at a half chub, let's get some results here.

Might as well add a RTT. Once you put the lift on the wife's minivan, you're going to need a place to sleep

Yeah, sounds funny, but it's a thing. We pull a pop up camper, and need the extra clearance. More cargo room than a SUV, with the same clearance, win-win.

Theoretically, how much would something like this cost? My minivan drags pulling into our driveway if you aren't very careful. I'm intrigued.

I find it hard to believe a minivan has more cargo room than a suburban or expedition max. I'm too lazy to look it up.

Now do auto sliding doors sound fun, sure.

I'm here to see how this goes now.

They do. Probably has to do with a cabin that is taller, due to no driveshaft or rear differential

Had to look it up. You are probably thinking about a Sienna vs a Tahoe or Expedtion with short wheelbase. Below are the specs for 2023 Suburban, Expedition Max, and Sienna:

Cargo Space to 1st Row
Chevrolet Suburban: 144.7 cubic feet
Ford Expedition MAX: 121.5 cubic feet
Toyota Sienna: 101.0 cubic feet

Cargo Space to 2nd Row
Chevrolet Suburban: 93.8 cubic feet
Ford Expedition MAX: 73.4 cubic feet
Toyota Sienna: 75.2 cubic feet

Cargo Space to 3rd Row
Chevrolet Suburban: 41.5 cubic feet
Ford Expedition MAX: 34.3 cubic feet
Toyota Sienna: 33.5 cubic feet

Not knocking minivans at all. Just not surprised that the longer versions of the top selling SUVs have as much or more legroom and cargo area than the top selling minivan.

Obviously a different conversation with a Tahoe or standard Expedition.

Two decades ago, when we were looking at the 2001 Oddy, it had more room than the 2001 Suburban.

I didn't think either one had changed that much since then.

Honda Oddy: 140.7 to 158.0

Cargo Space to 2nd Row
Chevrolet Suburban: 93.8 cubic feet
Ford Expedition MAX: 73.4 cubic feet
Toyota Sienna: 75.2 cubic feet
Honda Oddy: 86.6 to 92.3

Cargo Space to 3rd Row
Chevrolet Suburban: 41.5 cubic feet
Ford Expedition MAX: 34.3 cubic feet
Toyota Sienna: 33.5 cubic feet
Honda Oddy: 32.8 to 38.6

So the Suburban wins 2 of those 3. The reason for the range, is that the Oddy varies due to model, and also varies depending on the standard used.

Does the Honda have fold flat rear seats? I feel like those, while more convenient than removing a 60lb bench seat, do reduce total volume.

See the 2023 comparison chart. I think you need to compare pragmatic cargo space- the space behind the 3rd row, and the space behind the 2nd row with the 3rd row folded down. Sure, you can get a Ford Transit passenger van that has 425 cubic ft with all rows folded down, but most families will have passengers with them a majority of the time. So unless you're strapping the kids to the roof, you are not folding down all the seats. Also, when you compare apples to apples on price, no question mini vans get you the most bang for your buck with cargo.

Cubic ft cargo
behind 3rd row / With 3rd down / MSRP (base)

Highlander 16 / 48.4 / $36,420

Explorer 18.2 / 47.9 / $36,760

Expedition 20.9 / 63.6 / $54,155

Sienna 33.5 / 75.2 / $36,135

Odyssey 32.8 / 86.6 / $37,490

Suburban 41.5 / 93.8 / $56,900

I don't doubt for price it's that much better on cargo. But if you're pulling a camper or hauling 7 people all the time you're going to get longer life out of a truck based SUV.

Minivans have stackable trunk space. You'd be surprised. You can fit a boatload
