A lot of the Carmax vehicles I see advertised on Car Gurus are overpriced by several thousand. Are these "no-haggle prices" truly no-haggle? Have any of you successfully negotiated a lower price on a Carmax vehicle?

They are No Haggle. Period.

Car gurus price rating is a joke. It's data manipulation pure and simple designed to direct traffic to the dealers that pay to play.

Plus carmax prices their cars based on their own historical sales only. There could be 10 altimas all for sale on car gurus for $20k but if carmax has shown they sell them for $23k then they price them at $23k.

That seems like an odd business strategy. What happens when the market is on the rise? Are they selling below the current market value because the historical sales are lower?

They have extensive real time data on sales. Adjusted at all times.

Carmax is a great place to sell your car.

Carmax is a bad place to buy your car.

I found the opposite

Low low low ball offer

Slightly below dealers on purchase price. And much much easier process.

Yeah they can easily track time on lot stats and lower/raise prices as needed to keep them in that happy spot.
