When will the details for the '23 Odyssey be released? I've only seen a few Youtube videos that are from who knows what country.

If I remember correctly, they did practically nothing between the '21 to '22, besides remove the vacuum.

Seems some dealers are saying the '22s will stop production soon, but haven't seen anything on the '23s.

Don't want to pay over MSRP for the very end of the 22s.

Anyone have any info or links?

Thanks!

Don't forget full sheets of plywood and 10' dimensional lumber with all the doors closed. Can't do that with an F250.

Hopefully they learn how to fix brakes
2 different Honda dealers and Honda corporate couldn't figure out why our 2012 odyssey with only 130k miles had brakes kept failing. Sold it back to them

3.5 V6 still?

That sounds right. I hear the Sienna is sluggish loaded.

The Magic Slide seats are pushing me to Honda.

My dad's Ridgeline has the 3.5. Test drove it for him before he bought it and it was impressive. This is a 2010 so the new ones are probably better.

Wouldn't we know by now if there was going to be a big change for 23?

Wasn't the vacuum impacted by the chip shortage?

I wouldn't wait if you need one now. Maybe look into the Kia carnival (yes, I know, markups too) if you're worried about an all new odyssey for 23.

We have a 21. The vacuum barely gets used, as I expected (was a must have for someone in the house). The 3.5 paired to the 10 speed is a bright spot

Watching this thread closely.

We are moving to a minivan and having tested many, the Odyssey is the best.

I don't need it right away. The vacuum had supply issues so the easy thing to do was stop it and rebadge everything a 22, like they did early last year. I doubt there will be a total redesign, but I would love a 360 camera.

I helped someone buy a 22 last year at 500 under MSRP. That same dealer is now +$2000. The Beaumont guy was +$2000 in marked up add ons.

No one has the color and trim we really want, and we actually hope they might put out a color we like better. Would also like a digital rear view mirror added.

The Magic seat is equivalent to your wife's vacuum, except that I expect it to be used often.

The dealers are all indicating that production of 22s is fixing to stop. I can't see Honda not switching to something else quickly, unless chips are eating their lunch. If chips are bad, I can see Honda holding off on an announcement until the last minute, to give flexibility to what features they think they can swing at the time production starts of 23s.

Would be interested in hearing your analysis of the various options.

Magic slide comes in very handy.

Happy we bought when we did (Nov 2019). Got it somewhere between 10-12% off msrp and the dealer had to trade for it.

Found myself in the market unexpectedly at the beginning of the year and things are much different. Good luck with the search

New Sienna and Carnival weren't out yet at the time of our purchase, so it was between the Pacifica and Odyssey.

Pacifica's transmission seemed confused about what gear it wanted to be in, so it was quickly crossed off the list. Also, being a Chrysler, I didn't want it spontaneously bursting into flames.

The Sienna would be great from a gas mileage standpoint, but I think the odyssey has it beat on features when similarly priced.

The Carnival would be at the top of the list if we were in the market today, but we'd probably end up in the Honda

Just read a Facebook post of someone with a '22 Elite that braked by itself for no apparent reason .

Anyone heard much on this?

One dealer said '23s coming April 1. Another dealer said they were expecting 2 Odyssey the entire month of April.

yes, friend has had it happen to him twice on the freeway. The collision avoidance system kicked in when it sensed a slower car in the off ramp mostly in the next lane. His was an Accord however.

Happened to me one time in the 3 years we owned our 2018 Elite.

In general the adaptive cruise and autonomous braking are mediocre. They're fine safety features. They'll keep you from crashing into the car in front of you. But they aren't convenience features. It takes way too long to do ANYTHING, even if you turn off the adaptive part.

The Carnival is vastly superior in this respect. Honda can't touch the Kia Highway Drive Assist. Even the outgoing Sedona was better. I haven't driven a new Sienna but I suspect it is too. I'm just going off my 2013 Lexus LX. If a 2013 Lexus is better than a 2018 Honda, I'm sure the Toyota version is better still in 2022.
