How long do you want to ignore this user?
I want to replace the seat foam cushion in my driver's seat. I have heated and cooled seats. The local auto upholstery shops I've talked to say they don't have material that would work with the heating and cooling functions. Is there a way to get the right material other than buying it through the dealer at a ridiculous cost (if they can even get it)?

Year, make, and model would help...

My understanding, the foam is the most expensive part of an upholstery job

Interesting. I recently brought my vehicle into an upholstery shop to get a small tear fixed before it spread. When I picked it up he mentioned he added a little foam to some of the areas that were sagging. Heated seats haven't felt as warm since then, but I hadn't thought anything of it.
