Only if you want them to last two years.JamesPShelley said:Lseat.combig ben said:

I had two cars (a long time ago) where the dealer installed Classic Soft Trim. In both cases, the leather ended up significantly discoloring where it was exposed to the sun within about 4 years (top of the rear seat back). This wasn't just some fading, it was weird, blotchy discoloration. Maybe they've improved their leather dyes since then, but I'd be careful to check customer reviews of them before buying their product.Mookie said:
Clazzio and classic soft trim
Is that so? I've seen them recommended upon a 986 forum I frequent... and the seat covers seem to get decent reviews... so I've been considering them. I do know that the price is reasonable... and your comment gives me pause.1agswitchin4lanes said:Only if you want them to last two years.JamesPShelley said:Lseat.combig ben said:

Have you had any experience with the company? I'd hate to shell out $$$ to an installer only to have the seat covers fail in two years.
Thanks!

Katskin wants $1500 and only sells and ships to an authorized installer, WTF

Yup. Put Lseat in my 2002 F250 back in 2011 and in 2 years the leather had "layers" (very thin like fish food) flaking off and cracking. I called and left several messages and the guy called back and pretended he didn't speak English. When I started talking to him in Chinese, he hung up the phone. I called from my other phone and immediately called him out in Chinese and he said he didn't own the company. When you request a sample, they send a package to you with a return houston address. It goes back to a warehouse park and I drove over there and the suite is empty where they are.
These kits are made from China. (I'm pretty sure a lot of them are) I'm guessing out of subpar materials (which is the difference between a good kit and a bad kit) I ended up shelling out for leatherseats.com covers which still look good when I sold the truck to a friend. I rode in the truck last summer and the leather still looked good.
Leatherseats.com , katzkin , classic soft trim and roadwire are much better quality in my own experience.
Just my .02.
