Viper alarm/remote start question.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I have one on my truck. The system is about 3 years old. Earlier this year it stopped working. Would not unlock doors, would not turn on/off alarm, nada. The command center, the component on the windshield would constantly blink every second. Blinks non stop whether truck was on or off. I had to put electrical tape over the blue LED bc it was annoying driving at night. I tried the switching off/on valet, did some stuff I found online, even called Viper customer service. They ran through their stuff and nothing. Still blinks.

A couple weeks ago, I replaced my truck battery and the system chirped. The alarm worked like normal like nothing happened. Yesterday the alarm stopped working again and was blinking non stop, again. I disconnected the battery cable, waited 10 seconds, reconnected the battery and now it works.

Any idea why the alarm system is doing that?

Do you know what model you have? If so consult the user manual. Sorry I'm not more helpful at this point.

Yea, I did that. Even called the Viper CS line and they were stumped. Told me to take it back to installer.

I installed one on my truck & the mode where you can leave it running & take the key out has never stayed on reliably. Thought it could be the tach wire but it was fine. Unfortunately unless you have access to their "dealer troubleshooting line" or you did have it installed at a dealer who does I think you're out of luck.

I would try to do a "reset to factory default" on the "brain" & see if that does any good.
