It's 6.7 diesel. Lower pan is caked in oil. A little fresh oil each day after my drive home of about 45 miles. Theres a good bit on the driver side above the lower pan... I assume that's the pickup tube. Less on the right side but I wiped down the filter a few days ago and it has residue on it again.

I'm contemplating replacing the lower pan and hoping for the best. Watching youtube on the upper pan makes me want to sell the truck.... but I really dont want to sell the truck.

Any suggestions as far as what to look at first?

If I'm not mistaken, that would be the early 6.7 that is notorious for leaking pan.

My just had his lower pan replaced with an aluminum one from Rudy's. The OE stamp steel is on backorder and the Mag Hytec pan seems to run $250-300.

Make sure filter isnt bad. Thought we had a pan leak once and it turned out to be pinhole in the filter was squirting an oil jet againt the pan.

I had the same in my 11. Turned out to be rear main seal.

What's this part tight above the filter bracket?

I think it may be my culprit.

Oil pressure sending unit.

Changed sending unit and oil pan. Still leaking.

I pulled the wheel well to get a better look...not liking what I'm seeing.
