How long do you want to ignore this user?
3 weeks ago I had the wavy dash issue fixed on my 2018 F150, apparently they take the dash/center console apart to fix it. Well now that I need an inspection the OBD port won't make a reading on the truck.

Any idea what it could be? Everything looks to be plugged in right but I will say some of the wiring harnesses are hanging down (so frustrating to deal with a dealership).

Check fuses. IIRC the OBD shares power with the 12v power points.

So both 12V cigarette lighters are working.

OK.

Check fuse 15. Its a 10 amp

So the fuse looked good, but I'll go ahead and replace it.

My truck does have that aftermarket looking tracking device that the previous owner had installed. It's wired into the OBD so I wonder if that is causing the issue?

I'd defeinely look at that.

Do you have a volt meter?

Look at pin 16 (lower right) its hot all the time.

Ground is #4, but use the chassis/crash bar for ground first. verify 16 is hot. Once you do that, check #4 and see if its a good ground.
