Don't venture onto the auto board much, sorry if this has already been covered.

Had truck cover USA rolling cover on 2010 F150 for years with minimal to no issues.

Have retrax on 2018 and haven't been super happy.

1) "brake" doesn't engage everywhere it's supposed to
2) pretty significant water around corners and tailgate, way more than compared to previous bed cover.
3) canister is way bigger
4) locking hardware when unlocked hits a full size cooler. If you're loaded up and have a cooler on one side of the other, won't open or close. You either have to pack it in the middle, or do a little dance with the mechanism.

Is this the typical experience with retrax?

Do I have a bad install?

Is this typical with the new f150 body?

I've for nothing to add, but I'm glad to see someone else use truck covers usa. I love mine, just rarely see anyone else talk about them

I had an original Retrax on my previous Duramax pickup for 10 years. I had to re-glue the plastic rolling top to the metal leading edge once, replaced the locking mechanism once and the cartridge section once. Also fought heavy leaking. Initially I was impressed with it, but have not bothered to replace it with another one on my current Cummins. I have the Ram boxes on my new truck, so I have not really needed one anyway. I have found the Ram boxes extremely useful and dry.
