Does the gx require premium fuel?

There are good reasons the GX has not changed much in 10 years. No need for change just for sake of change. Great vehicle
We were in this situation about 2 years ago between a new 4 runner and an 8month old GX. We went went with the GX. I was leaning more 4 runner at the time but after having it for a bit we made the right decision in going for the GX. It is more comfortable, drives nicer, and while the interior is "dated" compared to competing models it is better than the 4 RunnerQuote:
Currently debating on another 5th gen 4 runner or a GX...
While I agree in general, the GX would greatly benefit from a more powerful engine. With ours the joke is that all the power must go to running the (awesome) air conditioning system because it certainly doesn't go to the wheels. I know it won't happen but the 5.7L becoming a GX option across all trim levels would be a welcome addition.Quote:

More than likely it will get the 3.5L TT out of the LS500 before it gets the 5.7. If they just did an 8 or 10 speed, it would be pretty venerable.WildcatAg said:We were in this situation about 2 years ago between a new 4 runner and an 8month old GX. We went went with the GX. Almost nobody does cooled seats from the AC system these days.drewser95 said:
Can anyone comment on the effectiveness of the ventilated seats? My understanding is that they do not actually have dedicated cooling units like Ford's and others -- just circulate the conditioned air from the cabin. Do they actually help out in the summer?
They could put the 4.6L variant that's in the LS460 in the GX since it has more power. The GX has 301/329 hp/tq while the LS 4.6L has 386/367.Quote:

That would work as well.Quote:

The cabin A/C system is my wife's is rather awesome. However, the driver's side cooled seat quit working. I need to take it in and get it fixed. When it was working, it worked well.Quote:

Its the same engine with the exception of Direct Injection. Sadly Lexus decided to kill that engine in the LS460 and offer a TT V6 and Atkisson Cycle 3.5L Hybrid. Its my opinion that dropping the V8 in their flagship was a bad idea, at least in the USA, but maybe most typical Q Ship buyers (read: Leasees) dont care what engine is in them.drumboy said:They could put the 4.6L variant that's in the LS460 in the GX since it has more power. Wow. I just looked at Cars.com and you are not kidding. The market is WAY different than when we bought a few months back. I would have to pay $9K more to get a vehicle with 9K more miles and its over 300 miles away. My filter was specific to my car but even the base models are going for $5K more than what we paid for the luxury...BrazosBull said:
