Grand Wagoneer looks like every other big suv on the road.

Had much higher hopes for the Wagoneer, hope it looks better in person, front end looks good but man that side is boring, don't care for the black roof either.

wagoneer looks decent, but from the back it just looks like an evolved durango.

The wagoneer reminds me of the current Lincoln Navigator (just without the wrap-around back window look)

they're all following the two tone Ranger Rover style.

It's a good thing keeps never break down because trail fixes have to be getting more and more complex.

Agreed, and with that being the case, why would you buy a jeep version?

certainly wouldn't buy a GM version these days.

They said that Wagoneer would be its own Luxury make, with the Grand Wagoneer being the first of several upscale SUVs. Sounds like they are going right at Land/Range Rover.

Also, how the fewk can the market support so many $100k vehicles? Who the hell can float this kind of payment and still afford mortgage and living expenses?

buckofive can tell you. he sells new homes. you'd be amazed at how many people driving $100K vehicles can't qualify for a mid-$300K mortgage. it's actually pretty sad and scary.

to add to that, i'm a part of the Jeep community. want to talk about bad financial decisions. told a buddy of mine the other day when another person told us what they were about to do to their Jeep, "it's like watching a realty show of bad financial decisions."

Oh, I am well aware. $60k on a Rubicon+accessories and can't drive it comfortably on the street anymore, so need a $30-40k DD as well

My '97 XJ runs over the curbs at malls just fine

There's a reason I wheel in an old nissan. I'm in Only $10K, it's got dual lockers and full underside plates and skids and a lift, and it's still more reliable than a Jeep straight off the factory floor, even after 160K miles.

it seems like the Jeep crowd once had that mentality too. now days, the Jeep crowd seems a lot different.

Lame.

Should have kept the design closer to this sexy hunk of American freedom:

Yep, looks like the offspring of a Grand Cherokee and Navigator.

Move along, nothing to see here.

Anybody thinking about getting this hybrid?

My commute to work is 2 miles each way, so I could theoretically go all electric for a week without charging. My biggest issue with electric vehicles is the complications of stopping to charge on a long trip, but with the hybrid that doesn't seem like it would be a problem. All electric for in-town trips and hybrid mode at 50mpg on road trips.

I wouldn't be able to charge at home though, which may be an challenge unless I hit a charging station near work once a week.

My 2018 is in great condition and has super-low mileage, so I'd get pretty good value on it if I upgraded to the hybrid.

Good numbers on the engine. It does depend on what speeds it will run electric only on, or if it is just "electric assist". It also means when it catches on fire, the fire will be extra dramatic when it reaches the Lithium battery pack.

so, interestingly, the electric option should be great off road. electric is more efficient at slow speeds.

i'm not getting one. but, i am intrigued by the whole thing.

what i'm not happy about is that as of 2021 FCA is forcing the Etorque v6 on buyers. literally all of the v6 etorque (battery boost) engines have shown no real world value. they just eke out minute gains on government tests.
