We recently bought a new (used) Grand Cherokee and it's great with the exception of a slight smell of smoke that we didn't notice at purchase. Has anyone ever used an ozone generator and, if so, any recommendations on brand and size?

This guy always posts all of the tools that he uses on the cars. One is an Ozone machine. I haven't used this particular tool but I have used some of his other recommendations and they work well.

I bought a 50 dollar one on amazon a while back for the maxima project and it did wonders over a period of several days.

It actually works wonders. Not a gimmick.

Run the AC when you use it and then air the car out before you go driving it.

I use an ozone generator in my truck during hunting season. It works.

I worked a hotel front desk part time in college. Ozone machine was the fix for when a guest smoked in a nonsmoking room. Definitely effective. Be careful about breathing it in. Sorry, no recs on brand/size.

I'm not sure why I will watch these car detailing videos, but I find them oddly satisfying.

I don't know how people can stand to let their cars get like that.

Ammo NYC is another detailing channel I like, they focus more on old and collectable cars instead of daily driver stuff.

You can also pay an auto detailing shop to run one in your vehicle while you wait if this is a one time deal and you don't want to buy one. I did that once on an old truck I bought. Think I paid them $50 to run a sizable commercial unit in there for about 90 minutes while I waited. Didn't need a second treatment.

It was a good deal for them and for me.

I would run it for 4-6 hours, then turn it off, open all the doors for a while to air it out, and repeat the process.

Did it every day for a week.

Then hung a felony forest of black ice air fresheners in it and it was ready to rock and roll.
