Did a super quick build (30ish hours) to make it to the TMGP season opener. Going to make some revisions and clean up the fab work, then show up next month and hope to win!

Ooh!

I used to race TMGP with a YSR back in the day. This looks fun

You should come back and race some more! The people are awesome. Could not be more happy with our decision to build a bike for the series.

Very cool.

How long can you run on one charge and how long does it take to recharge one of the battery packs?

Not long. I only put enough battery in it that I could easily fit in a box I could make in a couple hours. Didn't have time to try to get fancy with it. It lasts one sprint right now.

Recharge is about an hour, but that will go down to 45min or so when I get the big charger set up. I have enough cells for 4 packs and can swap them in about 5 min.

Really cool, I bet that thing will scoot with 20hp!

I don't think my old bones could handle it anymore

Man, that's only if you crash!

It is quick! Quicker than a stock kx65 by a good bit. Tops out at 52ish mph though, and loses quite a bit of torque near the very top end. The mid range pull is...significant, though.

I rode a KX 65 once when I was in high school. That little ******* was a fast ass wheelie machine for such a small bike. That's a good thing if your's is faster than that.

I mean, that's the joke, right? I know a few of the older guys that no longer do TMGP. They said they quit when they stopped bouncing when they hit the ground, ha.

Does the TMGP have an electric class?

Nope! I'm the first one to bring a competitive (maybe any?) electric out. I intend to have the fastest bike out there in multiple classes, then work with the organizers to write rules for electric classing and safety.

That is awesome!

Sprint racing is a fantastic fit for electric at our current levels of tech/battery. It will help drive the technology forward.

Forged in the fires, of the crucible, of the heart, of the fire of motorsport as Hammond would say.....

Yep, exactly! And in the end, the risk is pretty low. TMGP is a super friendly league full of great people who just want to have fun and further the sport. If I can help promote both motorcycle racing and electrics at the same time, I'm a happy camper, even more so if it turns into a product line for our company in the future, too.
