Just bought my FIL's 2015 Denali, 60,000 miles.

Wife called and said the passenger blinker is clicking fast, so, that means bad bulb. Truck gave her "turn signal failure" message.

I can't find a thing online about Yukon Denali turn signals. Lots of regular Yukon and Suburban stuff, lots of Denali headlight stuff, lots of " put in Ultra Super Blinding LED stuff, but, no regualar "here's how you replace a 2014-2018 Yukon Denali Front Turn Signal.

Anyone have experience doing this?

Those tail light curcuit boards go out. Look on eBay for a repair.

You can't replace the turn signals if they're actually burnt out. They're integrated into the headlamp assembly and are LED. You have to replace the entire assembly (~$800 or so probably).

This is assuming you're talking about replacing the thin amber light on the side of the headlamp assembly. I'd check other wiring first.

$800 huh, that's lovely.

Judging by youtube videos of similar year model vehicles, it requires removing/loosening the bumper and grill. I'm not going to attempt that in the driveway.

Any way this could be a fuse or a relay? It's the passenger front.

Yes.

Why not check the fuse?

Oh, I'm gonna check, but I have a gut feeling that Karma is gonna rear her ugly head since I got such a good deal on the vehicle.

I was hoping it would be a fuse, but would a blown fuse trigger the "signal failure" message to the info center?

Check the f'ing fuse and quit thinking about the zebra!

OK, I found a diagram for the fuse boxes. And I can't find a turn signal fuse.

Link here Link

39 and 40 are trailer signals, 121 and 122 are HID headlamps.

Anyone know?

OK, I got more information for the powerful minds of Auto Board.

LED light is flashing, just fast. So, it's a relay. Here's the rub, I have read on some forums that the relays are now built into the Body Control Modules.

There are eight (8) Body Control Modules shown.

I am deep into the innerweb on this, any help is appreciated.

It'd probably worth getting a subscription to Mitchell 1 DIY or Alldatadiy so you can get the wiring diagrams and troubleshooting procedures. It's $20-30 a year.

I use an old copy of AllData pretty frequently, and it's super helpful for wiring, connectors, etc.

2015 Yukon Denali? Dump it now. Worse vehicle I've ever owned for issues and repair costs. GM never again.

So both the front and rear signals are working, but blinking fast.

Is this correct?
dahouse

Just right front blinking fast. Everything else is normal.

Thanks for all the advice. However, I'm not gonna dump it. My FIL is ridiculously fastidious with his vehicles. This thing still smells new inside. And I got it for a steal.

That being said, I bought the DIY yearly thingy. I think it's the BDU. I'll dig into it tomorrow

I put 60,000 on a 2015 GMC Sierra before I sold it and it was a tank. It's still pulling cattle trailers today for a different owner. He's actually using it.

If you FIL didn't replace the AC condenser and MagnaRide system save up $2500-3000 as both will go before 75K miles.

2015 GMC was second year and 2015 Yukon is first year. If your Sierra wasn't the Denali it had a different engine. I don't think even GM was dumb enough to put the MagnaRide on a pickup.

Correct. The Sierra had the 6.0. Denali has the 6.2, same engine I had in my 2010 Camaro.

Duly noted on the magnetic ride system

The engine is a beast it is all the other parts that had issues.

Things haven't changed from 2009. Engine and drivetrain were great...a list 1 mile long of everything else that broke.

My brake light just went out on same vehicle. Dealer told me GM has extended the warranty to 80,000 miles for lights. Go talk to dealer.

And I agree, get rid of vehicle. I've had numerous issues with mine.
I just got this letter for brake lights intermittently not working. How it the world is NHTSB allowing an extension on warranty for a brake lights possibly not working issue and not making it a recall? Pretty unbelievable.

Letter says warranty extension to 6 years or 72K miles. Also says will reimburse anyone who has paid to fix this but they must submit receipts.

OP- save your receipts incase your issue is covered later.

Where you located?

We had a guy we found on Craigslist (Dallas) fix ours on a 2018 Denali XL for $125 a side. $800 quote at the dealer.

2015 lights look same as ours (looking online)

I bought a 16 loaded Denali in aug 2015. First new ride I've ever had. 3 miles on it. Traded it off back in oct of 2019. Had 42k on it. Everything dealer maintenance.
Battery at 10 months, headlight, seat sensor, seat trim, b and c pillar trim, 2 torque converters, the ac compressor, rear hatch shocks, the rear end. Yes the carrier bearings took a dump, replaced the rear end. Got it home 3 days later the front shocks leaking oil. I was done. I babied this truck. Ceramic paint coatings. Washed weekly. Premium fuel garage kept. Pos. I'm bitter still.

I'm in Katy. Turn signal started working normally again, I think it was the little bit of condensation in the light that tripped it up. I drove it from Mason County to Katy, so there was some "adjustment" to the conditions. I'm going to do some checking on connections and seals this weekend.

Carny, that sounds like a lemon situation. I bought a 2016 Yukon SLT, just short of a Denali, in 2015. Wife drove it trouble-free for 9 months. I had to trade it in due to a lay-off.

I'm grabbing some TPMS sensors from Amazon for the local shop to swap out when I get the tires rotated next month. One went out, but battery life on those things is about 5-6 years anyway. He said he'd do it for $20 since I'm a repeat customer for routine stuff.

I'm going to buy one magnetic ride shock every quarter and store them in an airtight tote in the garage, then pay the shop to install when they fail. Modern problems require modern solutions.

If everything takes a sh*t, I'll trade it in and make $12-14K on the deal.

Good luck on that. FIL better have sold it to you for $15K for those dreams. The 2015 Yukon is well known to be dog poop now.

I've got several of the plastic door panels left over from my POS 2015 denali we traded in. I'd be happy to sell em cheap. I think I've got 3 of the 6 left. Worst vehicle I've ever owned.
