Uh no. In all seriousness, there has to be stats on make/model w/ vanity orders. Tesla's have to be at the top.

I agree but I bet 80% have custom plates, regardless of the city.

I'm in Pittsburgh right now, for work, and neither of the extremely expensive apartment complexes of ours has a single Tesla that I've seen (one has about 15 in it, most being the dual-motor S) with a vanity plate.

They've been around long enough that not only the pretentious F-sticks own them.

So you are saying that people that can afford an expensive, luxury status symbol car are spending money on a frivolous custom plate at a higher rate than the rest of the car owners in the state? Great work, Watson.

$50 to $60K is not an expensive car

I would be curious about the venn diagram of Tesla owners who are also Vegans and/or crossfitters. All 3 love to make sure everyone within a hundred feet know about said status, generally.

I live in AZ, and it's pretty cheap to get vanity plates here, so a lot of people have them. I haven't noticed any difference in Tesla or other makes.

On a slight tangent - someone at my workplace drives a hearse with the plate DCEASED - best plate ever..

To me " an expensive luxury vehicle" is something well above that price.

Tons of ford owners spend tens of thousands on their custom plate, ....."Raptor"....to be seen from their drive from suburb to office busking parking lot.

I noticed this early on with tesla's, but not so much now that they are becoming much more common. Maybe the more pretentious ****nut factor slanted toward the early customers, which would make sense.

There's a Tesla driving around Montrose with one of the "oil and gas" plates. Find it oxymoronic.

This thread is funny to me as the wife asked me this weekend if every Tesla had to have a vanity plate because that is all she has seen. We expanded thinking that maybe there isn't a higher % of vanity plates on Tesla's but rather most of the Tesla vanity plates make a green/electric/gas reference making them memorable?
