Don't worry about who watches who

Not to be too paranoid, but you can see if Google is indexing your license plate.

Have fun and sleep tight!

Well now that you searched for your plates, I'm sure they've got the connection now.

LOYAL AG

Interesting. Where Google is involved I always assumed the worst. They are a vile, hateful company that has no respect for privacy.

For me personally though my tags don't show up which is a bit surprising. I've had LOYL AG for almost 27 years on four vehicles. You'd think one of them would have been captured.

Now then, a search of LOYL AG did return my profile on TexAgs as well as a thread specifically addressed to me with my handle in the title.

Neither of my cars returned hits, but this, coupled with the private company for private eyes, it makes being 'incognito' in your car less likely.

And I don't like people tracing my tracks whilst driving.

If they traced my tracks whilst driving they would be very bored!

It is just part of their text recognition system to help them index photos. The system is not going to distinguish between text on a car and text on the side of a building or whatnot.

Exactly. This isn't anything crazy.

One of the neighborhoods near me has approved and is installing license plate scanning cameras at neighborhood entrances/exits. I'm not 100% sure what the real benefit to this stuff is, but they are selling it that if there is a robbery or something, they can reference back to the cars that are coming and going. There are several folks in my neighborhood jumping to think this is a great idea, but the old curmudgeon in me seems to think this is yet another way overstepping of the bounds of Big brother disguised as a marginally useful safety measure.

It's yet another thing cops will ignore when they don't feel like dealing with your burglary or smash and grab.
