Changing Brake Pads and Rotors on a 2015 Audi Q7

I've got a 2015 Audi Q7, my first time to own a "luxury" SUV. Brake pad warning recently came on and I need to get the brake pads and rotors changed.

I called the Audi dealer in Austin where I usually get service done and he said I need to bring it there for the "genuine Audi parts and service". I live in CS so this is inconvenient, and I'd rather just do it here if possible.

My question is- is it ok to change brake pads and rotors at Midas for this kind of vehicle? Or does anyone have a recommendation for another CS establishment that works on Audis to do this?

You have to take it to the dealer. Anything less than that is too dangerous....even for Midas!

Pretty sure the Q7 has an electronic parking brake that requires a scan tool to put in service mode before you can pull the caliper off. If Midas has a scan tool that can do that, the brake job is no different than any other car.

I'm sure Midas could do it, but I wouldn't trust a shop like that for anything.

If you don't want to do them yourself, Autowerks in CS is a Euro car shop

That's only for rear brakes, to be clear. All shops should have the ability to retract the electronic parking brake

You are fake news.....that poster was clear; if you dont take it to Brakes 4 less (or whatever the name was), you will die and you children will get cancer.

No other option beside a dedicated brake specialist is adequate....that includes any dealership service centers.
