Our band boosters just retrofitted the inside of our semi trailer so we could store all our percussion equipment on the first level and instruments on the second level. We are looking for about 32 foot of 32 inch wide rubber floor mat to go down the center aisle. Looking for suggestions and sources, and of course price is a concern. Does anyone know where to buy something like this?

Thanks!

At the risk of giving you advice you didn't ask for, I don't think I'd use floor mats to put instruments on. You could glue these exercise mat tiles to the areas where the percussion instruments are going to lay and simply use shelf lining plastic for the other shelves where the instruments in their cases will be. That would be cheaper for the latter. The other thing I'd be a little concerned about is if the weather is bad for a game or event and the loading crew is going in and out of the trailer, be sure and have it where the floor will dry. Otherwise, one day someone will step in and the floor will bust through. I know this first hand -- my dad and I built a storage shed a long time ago and put carpet in there. The carpet got wet and you know the rest.

Anyway, here is a link to the tiles I was speaking of. They give a little cushion for the instruments sitting on them. They can be cleaned at the end of the season, too.

We use these rubber mats to keep livestock from pawing out their bedding when at shows. They're about 36", so you could cut them down to fit or notch to keep them in place. This is the 11' mat; they also have a 22' footer for 2x the money. Those 2 together would get you done. The ribs run lengthwise so it would be easy to sweep out.

Don't know what school you're with but walk down the hall to the Ag teacher and tell them you need to be hooked up with their cattle show mats because it's time they get new ones. Boom. done.

There they are in use, albeit flipped upside down.

Uline was my first thought as well.

Nice job on the buildout too. Like the lighting up top as well. That'll be nice when loading up after a game on Friday nights.

Thanks for the advice all! The guys who built it out did a great job for us, we have some awesome band dads! This will save us one or two Penske rentals every week too.
