Howdy,

I posted a while back about my heater not working. Ya'll recommended I check my coolant level and sure enough it was low.

Well, I finally got around to taking it in and the mechanic is telling me "it's a leak in the water pipe under the turbo" and the cost is $1300.

That seems awful high to me.

Any advice here?

Passenger or driver side? I am about to try and fix this exact same issue on my 13 eco. Apparently it's common and why I won't buy another ford again . The coolant fitting wears out and you'll have to take off the turbo to get to the backside coolant line if that is the one leaking. Taking off the driver side front wheel and removing the trim will give you the access.

It's the o-rings on a $5 fitting failing on the turbos. You have to remove the turbos to replace, but it's not "hard" per se. Just time consuming.

That seems high. Where do you live (city?)

I've been waiting for this to happen on my 2012. I've been adding coolant lately so I've been checking the level regularly. When this posted I looked again and found that the hose from the fill reservoir is dripping where they connect. Check it to make sure it might save you some money.
