So I've had a sun roof leak that will run down the a pillar molding and come out the handle on the a pillar. They have replaced the glass, adjusted it cleaned out the lines multiple times but every storm I open the door to water on my weathertech floor mats.

Any ideas why it keeps happening the ford dealership said last time it's not under warranty and I had a big Repair bill

So do I trade it in or deal with it? If I trade it in 1ags can I get your email for your Houston hookup I'm in Austin bought this from covert and not too happy with them.

As the saying goes, there are only two kinds of sunroofs: those that leak and those that will.

Edit for serious reply. Check the drain tube for clogs. It usually runs down the pillar. Blow some compressed air through it periodically to clear it. Should do the trick unless it has come loose somewhere.

It's 2018, can they really not figure out how to make sunroofs that don't leak?

Unfortunately, all seals eventually fail. Only way to prevent leaks is to preserve integrity by not cutting a hole in the first olace.

Are you parking on a downward slant?

You can clean the drains ports. Use a small hose with a small compressor with a regulator, which can control the air pressure. Kee the pressure at or under 20 psi. Also you can use some small stranded wire to to help unclog the drains

It's a Ford.
Just be thankful it is still running

2 year old seals shouldn't fail. I've owned 5 different 4runners all with sunroofs over the past 15 years.
Oldest was 9 years old and none of them have ever leaked at the sunroof.

Toyota got it mostly right. I have a 99 4runner that has only leaked once due to a clogged drain.
