My bike weighs about 220lb, so don't need anything too heavy duty.

Those big ass Black Widow ramps are great for loading big bikes but at 220lbs I'm thinking you have a dirtbike or Grom and you don't need a heavy ramp that takes up a lot of room in the truck.

Cycle Gear (and Harbor Freight I think) has good cheap ramps. I have a non-folding small ramp that works great but I'd get something like this that folds up. My CR250R is a little more than 220 lbs and I can load/unload in my tall leveled Tundra no problem.

I don't think HF has the single ramp. I was looking at the black widow single ramp, and it's about 75$ shipped. My friend makes the point that maybe I should just use a 1x12 with a ramp thingie on the end.

Are you talking about this Black Widow ramp?

If you must ride your bike up it looks like the best option for a small bike but you can push a 220lb bike up; even easier if you have a ditch or sloped street/curb to back up to.

That will work, and it's what I did as a kid along with using cotton ropes to tie my bikes down. Now Cycle Gear/HF has cheap ramps (and straps) that are much lighter than a 2X12 & easier to secure to your hitch so the ramp doesn't move when your bike is on it.
