Looking at picking up a used Rav4 with 97k miles on it. For any Toyota V6, that figure wouldn't even raise an eyebrow, especially because my wife (who will be driving it) only drives about 7.5K a year. The rest of the time, we're in my car.

I figure we'll keep this 4-6 years and then deal with things then, so the additional mileage shouldn't total more than about 150K.

For those that know, how have the Rav4 (or other Toyota models) i4 held up over time?

Bought my daughter a 2014 Rav 4 before she headed off to College Station almost 2 years ago. Only had 24K miles when we got it ,but have never had a problem, just put gas in it & change the oil. Great car.

Assuming that's the same one in the Corolla, they all sound the same on start up. Doesn't matter what year.

The Camry and RAV4 use the 2.5L 2ARFE, the Cor-holla uses the 1.8L 2ZR-FE/FAE, probably use the same starter though...

These engines are quite reliable. Just keep up on basic maintenance and you're good to go.

That was when Toyota still made interesting sedans. The 87-91 Camrys were neat with their spunky powertrains, automatic seat belts, push button climate controls etc....

Pulled the trigger. Now, I've got to get all that oil based crap off the tires and possibly the body followed by some paint correction next week. Whatever they did in the interior caused an odor that needs to come out.
