I had my 18 year old take his '96 4Runner in for oil change and tire rotation.

They told him his MRI valve covers need replacing.

Does anyone recommend a mechanic in Richardson or Plano or North Dallas?

Valve cover or valve cover gasket?

The paperwork he brought back shows " MPI VALVE COVERS ARE LEAKING AND SPARK PLUGS"

This is a 1996 Toyota 4 Runner with a 3.4 liter V6 with 216,000 miles on it.


I assume they meant valve cover gasket.

unless the valve comer was dented or bent or something I would bet it's the gaskets that need replacing. Easy job for your kid.. Hit up YouTube.
