Seems prices are very comparable. This one is slightly larger (from the article)... The warranty on this being 7 yrs / 72K miles bumper to bumper and transferable though is quite a bit better than the others.

I am curious if a sheet of plywood can fit in that back end with all the seats down?

I've told the wife, if we stick with only 2 kids we will likely buy something similar to this (explorer, pilot, etc). If she wants a third kid the minivan has her name on it.

I love my Expedition, but I have to admit that I've been eyeing these things. I'd never actually do it, though.

Apparently will come with a 6 year, 72K warranty to help offset concerns about VW reliability.

My wife had a VW Beetle that had almost 200k when we got married and I made her sell it (the front end literally fell apart going down the street once). She's been begging for another VW ever since. When she saw this commercial, her eyes lit up. I'm in deep ****.

I think I remember looking at VW's website and thinking the engine looked pretty freakin' anemic for something this size. And those seats look ungodly uncomfortable.

In AWD form, it'll have the 3.6 VR6 engine. In FWD, it'll get the MQB platform 2.0t. Tune alone gains 80hp.

It'll be fine, either way.

You can get APR tunes at dealerships now, if that's a worry. APR covers it after that.

I tuned mine at less than 1600 miles, have 109k of very little issues that weren't caused by meth.....anol.

Drove a touareg for a while and loved it. What I don't see is how they will sell another Touareg with this out there. Cheaper price, 3rd row, and appears to be just as nice.

It's a damn nice interior.

SUV? Yawn. I'm more interested in this.
