Most of us here are fans of Ford F-150 Truck. I drive the 2012 version and have been pleased. Not every year can be a winner. What is your pick for ugliest year model?

My pick would have to be the 1997 Step Side...

You take that back! That was my very first vehicle. Still wish I had it.

I actually thought the '97 year model was the first ford that would be sought after down the road as a "customizable" model, a la the GMT 400.

Disagree. The Lightning of that generation is one of the best looking trucks Ford has ever produced.



87 - 91 brick nose are the worst

Dude, you're crazy. I would argue the '97-'03 was the last good-looking F150. They got *really* awesome in '99+ when Ford extended the grille down below the headlights ever-so-slightly. Love that gen.

Ugliest Gen has always been, in my mind, the '51-'52 body style. A weird hybrid between the swell '48-'50s and legendary '53-'56.

My dad was a Ford guy, but even he went and bought a K5 Blazer because he hated that front end on the Bronco

Probably the 10th gen 97-03, but I will always think the 9th gen 92-97 are the best of any pickup. I miss my 94 with the 5.8 everyday.

92-97 was a great body style.

I had two 7.3L powered ones and a few 4.9L I6 powered ones.

My 85 was hideous. AOD,closed loop carburetor. That turned me off from ever owning a pickup style truck ever again.

The material quality was pretty bad too. Interior and headlight plastic all went to crap in no time flat.

My boss (who probably clears $200k/yr. not that it matters) drives this exact same truck, color and all. I know it's a very practical decision, and makes great financial sense... just would not be my choice of daily driver.

I like the boxy look. Looks stronger. So everything through Gen 8 was great, especially the 60s and early 70s. Gen 9 was a small step down, but still fine. Then it went to total **** in Gen 10 with the tapered nose. Been slowly getting better each time since. Newest ones are pretty tolerable, but still like the old models better.
