I recently picked up a new toy:

It's a 1992 Acura NSX. It's had a few things done to it:

* NSX-R ring and pinion
* Short JDM gears
* Fidanza lightweight wheel
* Stainless brake lines
* DC Sport headers
* TiDave non-compliance front clamps
* Large intake scoop
* NSX-R reinforcement bars
* Taitec GTLW exhaust
* Front NSX-R sway bar
* Rar Zanardi sway bar
* Buddy Club Racing Spec coilovers
* Science of Speed baffled oil pan

Overall, very fun car to drive so far. Looking forward to getting it on track this weekend (and maybe tomorrow).

Totally agree, it's got a timeless look. They both do, IMHO. They're also both super reliable, fairly easy to work on, and fun to drive. It's impossible not to like that combination.

Based on my search on autotrader this afternoon for 500 mile radius around the Houston area, you're still looking $30-60k depending on year, mileage, and options.

That sounds about right. Pricing is kind of weird on them, or at least it seems somewhat inconsistent, but I guess that's pretty normal on an old collectors item. I think I got a decent deal on this one, particularly given the work done to it. Yeah, I know that some people would look at the work and claim it lowers the value of the car, but that's only true if you wouldn't go and do the same work yourself; and nearly all of the work is stuff I'd have wanted done.

Your pics aren't showing. If you're linking from Google Photos, you might want to upload to imgur instead. Google Photos doesn't like linking outside of your account

Beat me to it, I don't see anything either.

Very jealous! Still hoping to pick up a '97+ of my own but I have to sell the 560SL and finish the house and garage projects first. This isn't something I'd want to leave outside parked in the driveway.

Thanks. That's really irritating. I've avoided an imgur account for years, alas.

Nice ride.

It amazes me the similarities between the lines of the NSX and the C5 corvette.

I haven't really taken any, but I can. I do have one. One of the neat things that was done to the car by the previous owner is the oil pressure, oil temperature, and water temperature monitoring setup:

It's a Defi ADVANCE ZD unit that has been very nicely put into place where the stock stereo would go (there is no stereo in the car).

Got it to the track this weekend. Not many great sessions today, but here's something. I'm just poking around, really, as I get comfortable with it.

Nice car! And nice mods list. Hard to believe it's that old.

I had a buddy get antique vehicle plates for his 1991 300ZX twin turbo last year. It's weird seeing classic plates on something so relatively modern, but 25 years is 25 years...

Yeah, it doesn't feel 25 years old. Definitely doesn't look it.

Here's a much better session from Sunday morning:

I'd have given a testicle for one in high school.

Can't believe they're still so expensive.
