Not blowing hard when on max but Will kick on hard just a bit (not enough to cool down the whole cab) when I'm driving over 60. Could it be the blower motor? Any thoughts or inputs would be nice.

TIA

Did you see if the air is coming out of the floor or defrost instead of the face vents?

If your blower sounds like it is spinning and working, but not blowing air then you likely have a bad vent door. I have one that is about done in my '06 3500. I will not go to full dash vents, some is alway blowing out the defroster and floor.

Check this site out and see if your issues match. There are 4 doors in your AC unit each will fail and cause a different issue. I am going to do these when mine does let go.

You can "fix" it by taking the three screws off of the blower motor on the passenger floorboard under the glove box. Reach up in there & you should feel the blend door sitting on top of where the blower motor was. It is probably 2-1-2" x 6". Work it out of there & you should have cold air again...after you put your blower motor back on. Your "recirculate" setting will no longer work. Google "dodge blend door fix". It was pretty cheap & easy to replace on my 2006. If it is not that then it's your condenser fan. To check that, turn on your truck with the "frosty" button(AC) off, open the hood. Watch the condenser fan(little fan to te drivers side of the radiator) it should not be spinning. Push the frosty snowflake button. Does the fan start spinning? If not then that's your problems. It's a $100 part. There is a way to replace the motor only which is $30 or so bucks.

Never, ever heard it called a "frosty snowflake button", but I will use this going forward.

Thanks Superdave!

I wonder if mike got his AC fixed.

Not sure, but I am thankful for dodge using metal arms on plastic flaps. Without those I would not know the joy of wondering which vents will work.

Still better than my buddies '06 Tahoe that goes from ice cold air to full heat when it feels like it.
