Would a bad o2 sensor make the exhaust sound differently? I have a 2005 Tahoe with factory exhaust and driving it this morning, it was noticeably louder when I would give it gas. It sounds almost as if I have aftermarket exhaust and I can feel a little vibration under my feet. My check engine light came on this evening and I took it to autozone and the code is P0137, which is a faulty O2 sensor. I think it is more than likely that I have an exhaust leak. Would that trigger the O2 code?

It USUALLY wouldn't trigger that code for a leak, but if it IS leaking due to a hole/crack, it might be due to age overall and thusly more than just the steel pipe itself could now be faulty.

Off the top of my head if its a pre-sensor leak

Crappy gas mileage
Fumes in cabin in stop-and-go
LOUD NOISES
Potentially gummed up cats if you run it like that for too long

I am riding with my sunroof open to address fume issues. I wouldn't think the other issues will be problematic for just a week until I can get it in. Thanks.
