Some news this afternoon about the Model 3 becoming more official soon, starting at 35,000 (before incentives):

If I didn't need a vehicle much sooner than (optimistically) late 2017 I'd be seriously considering one. They do also mention that there will be more fully optioned models built first, so it may be a while before you actually see one for around the 35k MSRP.
