How long do you want to ignore this user?
I let my wife borrow my car for the night on saturday and when I went through the carwash on Sunday, apparently she had opened the sunroof, but when she closed it she put it in the tilt position, so water leaked into the shade that covers the sunroof and left a PINK waterspot (I guess the soap was pink.)

Any ideas on what to use to get it out? Water lines are bad enough, but its pretty apparent this has some automotive soap in it too, so I want to get suggestions before I try and get it out.

Is this like the broadcloth or the mouse fur style?

Denatured alcohol would be my choice.

Those headliners are almost impossible to get out water stains.

It's a newer car, so it isnt broadcloth. Seems like its some sort of synthetic mesh type material.

I just had to share this with you all. I did a lot of research on the internet and was going to get some distilled water and some microfiber cloths to try and get it out. if it didnt work I was looking at getting some all purpose cleaner to try. I got the water a spray bottle and some microfiber. I thought "wait a second" and I pulled out some Meguire's Interior Detailing Cloths. They say they are for ALL interior surfaces (leather, cloth, plastic, woodgrain, dash, nav screen), so I decided to give them a try.

Well, see the results for yourself.

Before

After.

The area is still a little damp from the light solution in the cloths, so you can kind of see a twinge of pink (but im not sure, it could be an optical illusion or in my head.), but looking at it in the car you cant notice a difference. The contours of the sun roof cast a natural shadow in that area anyway which might shade any actual color imperfections.

I would take it to a reputable auto detail shop. I had a water stain on my headliner (not as bad as yours) and they were able to get it out with some sort of spray.

Find a ship that has a tornador cleaner. We have 4 of them. Awesome tools.

I dont think this will work for the LIPSTICK on the Expy headliner, but I need to find something.

F---.

Waited for it to dry and went for a second pass and it looks like new. I'm so happy.

This is the product I used, BTW:
