there was a company in arlington called jurassic truck that made them in the mid to late 90s. I remember the first year or so had the 7 slot grill until am general c&d'd them, then they got that cheap looking grill.

6 door limos remind me of what the family takes to get from the funeral to the cemetery. That's about the only place I ever see them.

I'm interested to know how this was made.

Strangely negative reaction - a bit over the top.

Stretched Hummer with good workmanship - I can appreciate what it is even if not necessarily my taste.

Not really a stretched Hummer. A GM truck frame and drivetrain with a fiberglass imitation body. Good workmanship is subjective, but I'll just say I've seen better from custom car builders and I've seen worse on Craigslist.

And it is red, not maroon.

Soup, they locked the classifieds thread before I could edit. I should have credited you, my apologies.

This is a kid that went to high school with my Aggie son, worked his ass off at Blinn to get accepted to A&M. He graduated from A&M in 2012 and got a Master degree from A&M this summer.

They've been working on this vehicle for a long time and have finally offered it for sale.

If you don't want to buy it, move along.

But there is absolutely no need to gang up on him, criticize the vehicle and photography and generally be a bunch of a-holes.

I'm disappointed this thread hasn't been moved to the classifieds board where it belongs. Unless you are a sponsor you don't get to post items for sale in other forums.

It was in the classifieds, but was locked because of people wrongly accusing the kid of being a commercial operation.

Getting my feelings hurt because someone paid for (bad) pictures in a city that I don't live in of a subject I don't shoot? Get over yourself. I want people to pay for professional photography. At least I want them to pay for good professional photography.

I have no desire to "specialize" in weddings and cars and babies and toddlers and kids and maternity and football and motorcycles and autocross and products and actor headshots and blah blah blah.

I guess I shouldn't have responded like you did, but it pisses me off that this kid got a response like this from fellow Ags, particularly one that has been on this site for as long as you have.

Doesn't matter what you desire to specialize in, no need for you to belittle the kid and the photographer.

Or maybe he should have done something other than create an account to spam multiple boards with a vague sales post, call himself an Aggie and link back a site run by an non-Aggie. There have been a whole lot of people that have done the same thing over the years that are not Aggies, but try to take advantage of Aggie goodwill and camaraderie (Looking at you MFBarnes), so it isn't especially surprising that we are wary of a vague sales post and link to a business on a board that isn't meant for sales.

Want to post about your project car on the Auto board, maybe post some pics or a link to an IMGUR album, actually introduce yourself and talk about what you did to build your project, the problems you had, how you overcame, etc.

This isn't exactly rocket science. I think after so many people have pretended to be Aggies that are not that it is good that we don't just accept everyone that claims to be an Aggie with open arms. I figure a long time poster like you should understand that and shouldn't be so quick to attack other long time posters that are trying to weed out the fraudsters that come around. Guess not. Bad bull indeed.

Maybe the kid has never used TexAgs before. He doesn't know the drill. Not everybody lives on here 24/7.

Maybe posters should ask a few questions to verify suspicions before totally dismissing him saying he is not an Ag, and getting his classified post locked.

I understand that it is the desire of posters to out people and destroy them, but sometimes it isn't the case. I'm sure it was not his intent to "spam" multiple boards, he was just posting in places that would have interest.

But next time, maybe we should have everyone consult you for the proper protocol, O Master of TexAgs, to makes sure they get your seal of approval on policies and procedures.
