911 going turbo across the line

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Now don't get me wrong. I love forced induction. I love the 911 Turbo. But, pretty much killing the flat 6 across the line is not cool. I don't know how I missed this.

Almost every 911 will be a turbo

2015 N/A models will be the new air-cooled. I may never be able to afford one.

Nothing indicated they're getting rid of the flat 6, just forcing air into it.

It's the way the world goes. Not too long ago all 911s were air cooled.

Probably just the C2S and C4S models and variants (Targa, etc.). Looks like the GT3 is staying NA for a while. The last year of GT3s would be my guess for the next 993 Turbo valuation. A turbocharged GT3 is a GT2, so it would make sense for them to just drop the GT3 name when it goes turbocharged.

... being able to afford a C4S is a feat in itself. Doubt I'd ever even consider a GT3.

i guess i could have worded it better. but, they are definitely taking the soul out of it. and yes i know all about the air cooled. look at the values of the 993. they are crazy high now.

it means the 996 and 997 just got more valuable.

I don't think the 996 will ever be particular valuable compared to the 997 just like the 964 isn't compared to the 993. Even the NA 997s won't be as valuable as the last NA 991s if the line goes all turbo with no indication of going back to NA.
