If the maintenance manual says change plugs at 60,000, that's what I do. If it says change the oil at 7,500, that's what I do. People think I'm crazy and today's mindset for car maintenance is to perform oil changes and otherwise drive it until something breaks.
Here I am at the dealership to have them drain and fill my "lifetime" CVT fluid. Apparently it doesn't ever need to be changed. Kinda like how Audi's old V8 S4 never needed a timing chain service right? Why do people think I'm crazy for doing some preventive maintenance on a non-serviceable $6000 transmission? It's interesting that the manual says to drain and fill every 30,000 miles for extreme conditions...
