How long do you want to ignore this user?
Replaced the alternator and battery in my 02 GMC Envoy last weekend after constantly having low voltage. Ran great after the replacement until my way home from work Thursday. Check engine light came on, but all gauges were reading fine and it drove normal. Got home, turned the car off, then restarted it just to see if the CEL would clear and if it would restart, which it did, but the light was still on. Waited a couple hours to address it cause my code reader was in my wife's car. When I finally got back to it, couldn't get it to start at all. Odd because the headlights, dome lights, dash lights, and ac work in the on position. Power locks, radio, windows, and obviously starter are getting no power however. Disconnected the battery and waited a while, did nothing. Can't even read the stored code because the OBD 2 port isn't getting any power.

Thoughts? I'm going to check all fuses today, could be the mega fuse maybe?

(Please excuse the formatting. I am on my cell phone)

How many keys do you keep on that vehicle's key ring?

About 3 or 4. Very few. Are you thinking ignition switch?

Lose cable going from the front fuse box to the rear one. Reconnected that, jumped it, computer rebooted itself and appears to running fine. No stored or new codes.

"Loose" cable

I figure I knocked it loose when I replaced the battery and alternator. Pretty tight fit under there and I wasn't super careful admittedly.

My Land Cruiser was acting crazy in December when I was in town, and when I got home, I also checked, and the terminals were also loose. Loose connections can cause all kinds of issues that make you think the worst.
