Looks like the Bakflip F1 has really good reviews...anybody have opinions on good bed covers or the Bakflip specifically?

I have had a backflip F1 on my 2013 F-150 for about 11 months now.

I love it.

Why no love for the BakFlipVP? That's what I have my eye on.

just looking around online, I think I might like the Undercover Flex better than the Bakflip products.

I picked up a RollBak this past spring and I love it. Proabably 95% waterproof, took me and one person about 2 hours to install. I like it because it still allows me to see out of the back when the cover is open. I do lose about 10 inches at the front of the bed for the canister and 2 inches on each side of the bed.

I pulled this from an earlier thread... you can check the rest of it out here. There is some decent info there.

Here is my old review ...
quote:
I have the Bakflip F1. I really like it. I've had it since December. No issues. It is great to be able to put luggage and other crap in the back and not worry about it getting wet. I like how it folds up and you can either drive with it against the cab or fold it a couple of times and bungee the sections down. Also, It is easy to pull the cover completely off if necessary (moving a fridge or something) and just leave the rails. I like that you can open it from one side. It is very low profile. It isn't 100% waterproof. I get a few drops of water near the tailgate if I go through a car wash (not a big deal and not much water at all). Haven't had water get in from rain.

Let me know if you have any specific questions and I can try to answer them. Also if you order online I would chat with a rep or if you prefer to call make sure you see what they can do for you on the price. You should able to get a couple hundred knocked off. You can also check if they have and scratch/dent models for cheap.

I would add that I like the backflip over the flex because it leans against the cab rather than standing straight up (seems like it would be better against the cab going down the highway). Also, I got the F1 over the other backflip models because it is supposed to be the strongest cover they make... and you can throw stuff on the cover itself. I didn't go with a rollback because the backflip comes completely off really easy (other than the rails) for big items where you need the entire bed. I did the install myself. It is very easy. It is also easy to pull the cover off and put it back on by yourself.

Are you all just ordering them off the internet or finding auto shops that sell them? Im in houston and looking to get one for my truck.

Personally, Ive been looking at the Tonneau cover that has the 3 piece folding cover. Anyone know anything about those?
