Sorry for the frequent requests, but I am trying to find a beater car for my long daily commute (120 miles a day), and I'm very skeptical about most of the listings I've come accross.

2006 Altima with 141k miles, for $3,000. KBB says the sale value is about $4,000

Post the license plate and I can run you a Carfax.

Googling the VIN shows it as Motor-Tex dealer inventory on a couple of Craigslist ads. No plates on the car.

The ads also say **$3000 DOWN*** so they're not asking $3K for the car. Their craptastic webpage has everything listed as XXXX down and 2-3 times that is what they want for the car. It also doesn't show the Altima. I say avoid this one.
