I will never use them and I don't want to store them so who has them that folds?

Exployer, Expedition and Navigator....any others?

Do any have front row optional arm rests that don't go all the way on the floor up under the dashboard? I'd prefer the extra leg room like some of the Tahoes offer that have an open floor all the way across.

Ford's fold flat as does the second row. Chevy/GMCs fold to a vertical position behind the second row, second row folds flat. Not sure about Chrysler, but lets be honest, why would you want to buy a Chrysler anyway?

Sorry missed domestic in title.

Why limit your choices?

I know you said domestic, but I don't have a 3rd row in my 4Runner.

The Pilot isn't domestic?

Pilots are currently manufactured in Lincoln, Alabama, and the Pilot was produced in Alliston, Ontario, Canada until April 2007.

Nope. Not in the traditional use of the term. Pretty sure Honda is still a foreign entity.

BFD

Who said it was a BFD? I was only pointing out that the OP poster asked for domestic SUVs and I assume he was using the term in the traditional sense and not the "we looked at the manufacturing location of every part on the car and location of the assembly plant to determine whether or not the car is domestic" sense of the word.

You Honda guys sure do get defensive.

What 03_Aggie said.

Domestic = Ford, GM, Dodge, Chrysler

Foreign = everything else

Not arguing that Honda isn't a "domestic" brand. And I see the OP wants a domestic vehicle, not a made-in-America one.

I was merely stating my personal opinion concerning Honda's brand origin.

That's cool. Not really relevant, but cool I guess. Does Honda have some sort of incentive program for folks who defend their brand?

Although I own several Honda vehicles I maintain I am not a "Honda guy." I have no brand loyalty. I have own a Ford and Infiniti also. Have previously owned Fords, Mazdas, Nissan, and a few others. I think loyalty to a manufacturer far away is silly.

Each time I shop for a vehicle I start with a clean search, regardless of brand, and work from there. That's how I ended up with each and every vehicle I own today.

So they don't pay in Yen? Or do they allow you to convert to your own preferred currency?

Well, GM & Chrysler/Dodge are owned by the unions......they may as well be foreign!

AFAIK, the Pilot is built in the US, and a decent % of Suburbans and other GM SUVs are built in Mexico at their Silao assembly plant.

So if you want a Mexican vehicle, buy Domestic.

If you want an American vehicle, buy Honda.

And no, we just happen to like our Honda vehicles and wish that everyone else would wise up and buy one already.

The 3 row expoler is nice. you can actually lay flat the 2nd and 3rd rows and also turn the 3rd row around completely and sit, with your feet hanging out the back hatch.

LOL, i just tried it. pretty crappy to sit on the head rest though. it's definitely not "made" to do that, but i guess can work for kids. i stand corrected, but wouldn't go around pimping that as a "feature" of the vehicle.

Gotta say I don't understand the "domestic" requirement.

Sequoia in my mind is a superior product with an excellent folding 2nd and 3rd row (third is electric) and made in Indiana.

You're limiting yourself to Ford products.

They sold it as a " tailgating" or something feature when we looked at it.

Really uncomfortable both by your balls and your head hitting the roof liner but still kind cool z

Well the Excursion is not currently manufactured anymore, but if you want a tank diesel truck with third row seating, arm rests, fold down seats, and is really fun to park, that is the way to go. 22 feet of awesome right there. Does the Ford Flex count as an SUV?

Pathfinder has been built by Americans in Smyrna, TN since 2004. No idea about the seat question, just sayin.
